The Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Center (CFAA) of the UPV/EHU advances in the manufacture of aerodynamic components that will be integrated into the demonstrator for the test bench of a new compressor design. Once the definition, knowledge acquisition and first functional specimens tasks have been completed, the manufacture of components for the prototype has begun.
In this year of the project, the CFAA has worked on the development of technology for the manufacture of blades and vanes, has collaborated with other project partners in defining the measurement and quality control procedures, and has coordinated the manufacturing stages of the the first stage compressor of the prototype.
The main objective of this project is to advance in the development of key aerodynamic technologies that allow the fundamental objectives of achieving the environmental milestones set by the EU through ACARE – Advisory Council for Aviation Research and Innovation in Europe – and endorsed by the Government of Spain through the “Spanish Strategy for Science and Technology and Innovation 2013-2020”.
These actions are part of the R&D project reference RTC2019-007194-4 with the acronym TASTE: TECNOLOGÍAS AERODINÁMICAS PARA TURBOFANES ENGRANADOS, financed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the State Research Agency (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 /)
